Christian School Kid, 11, Bags Critter Bigger Than “Hogzilla”

Jamison Stone, who just finished the sixth grade at Christian Heritage Academy in Pickensville, Alabama, was hunting with his dad earlier this month when he spotted a giant hog–all 1,051 pounds and nine feet, four inches of it. Stone, with his dad and guides close behind, chased the monster hog for three hours, shooting it nine times with a .50 caliber pistol. They needed a backhoe to cart the critter out of the woods to weigh and process it; Stone’s dad expects to land 500 to 700 pounds of sausage from the kill. Besides breakfast for the rest of his life, young Jamison was offered a small part in the indie flick, The Legend of Hogzilla, in honor of the slightly smaller creature killed in Georgia three years ago.
